Job description

The role of Recruiter is versatile. You work closely with fellow sales and (sales) recruiters and our supplier manager, who take care of bringing in new business and expanding existing relationships. You get satisfaction from searching, finding and mediating IT professionals and building a good relationship with IT professionals and suppliers. You will inform the expats about the job description, tasks and skills, and you’ll negociate the monthly gross salary / hourly rate. Part of the job will also be discussing the pay slip (breakdown) with the candidates so they understand the Dutch taxes, 30% ruling and the visa process. You will ensure a smooth onboarding process of the expats.

We started almost 10 years ago as a successful initiative of colleagues who already worked successfully together before and FixedToday has now grown into a close team of experienced specialists who together realize a nice growth. ExpatsToday is a trade name of FixedToday, ExpatsToday focuses on providing “employment solutions” in the Netherlands for expats. The services offered are for employers in the Netherlands who want to work with highly skilled migrants and who are not (yet) a recognized sponsor with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND). Also for Expats, from or outside the European Union, who would like to live and work in the Netherlands. We can assist you with your first contract in the Netherlands or when you have found yourself a project. We have extensive international experience. More than 42 nationalities have been working through us until now.

What does an average day look like?

You start with our daily kick-off in which the recruitment team and the sales team go through the most important open applications and in which we share information. Then you start looking for the ideal candidate for your vacancies. For this you will use our job portal, our database, IT job boards, Linkedin and our network of suppliers. After a thorough training period you will independently offer the expats to the customers and you are responsible for the interviewing of candidates. After a successful intake you will ensure correct delivery of the contract details to your colleagues in the back office department.

Crucial to your success is your perseverance and the deployment and further expansion of your network of candidates.

What do we ask?

Our new colleague preferably has a completed commercial or HRM bachelor degree. Your level of the English and Dutch language is excellent (minimum B2 level). You have at least one year of work experience in recruitment/resource management and preferably within the ICT industry. Candidates with more work experience are also invited to apply. You communicate easily, but it is equally important that you are a good listener. It is important that as a colleague you fit and feel comfortable with our philosophy “With Respect and Appreciation” and go for the long relationship. In terms of personality, you are a go-getter, proactive, stress resistant, empathetic and driven. You can keep an overview in hectic situations with deadlines. Of course you have good communication skills and you are structured.

How does it work?

The first interview is held with a colleague within the team where you can get to know us and we can ask you all your questions about our company, the culture and the position. After a positive first interview, a second interview with a member of the management team will follow quickly and we will offer you a competency test. In this test you and we get an idea how you assess yourself on 16 fundamental competencies compared to the Dutch working population.
